As of 3D Canvas 7.1, many of these are included in the standard version of 3D Canvas Pro. This download now only includes those items not included in the standard release of 3D Canvas Pro.

Please note that beginning with 3D Canvas 7.1.1.1 train related features are not enabled by default. To enable these features select Options... from the Tools menu and click the Misc. tab.

Train Simulator Engineer 3.0

Automatically generates wheels, chassis and bogies. Includes options for spoked wheels and transparency masks (generated) and driving wheel and link animations.

Automates the building of selected parts of locomotives.

Train Simulator Handrail Builder

Automates the building of hand rails.

Train Simulator Buffer Builder

Automates the building of buffer objects.

Train Simulator Bridge Builder

Automates the building of bridges.

Train Simulator Rod Animator

Automatically generates animations for wheel links, connecting rods and piston objects.

Train Simulator Boiler Curve Fit

Adjusts the base of an object to fit a boiler shape along the Z axis.

Trainz Railroad Simulator IM Export

Exports a model to Trainz Railroad Simulator's IM format.

Trainz Railroad Simulator Attachment Points

Aids in creating attachment points for Trainz Railroad Simulator.

Butt Objects

Precisely butts two objects together.

Count Triangles

Counts the number of triangles an object or hierarchy uses.

Double-Side

Duplicates an object inside-out for the purpose of creating an interior.

Flare Extrude

Performs multiple extrusions along a curve, while optionally flaring.

Foundry

Quickly creates common structural elements, such as I-Beams.

Face Split

Moves the selected faces to a new object.

Pipe Builder 2.0

Build pipes based on selected edges of an object.

Piper

Creates "curved extrudes" of arbitrary faces of an object. It is most useful in creating piping runs when applied against the end of a cylinder and forming curved bridge decks.

Print Hierarchy

Prints the hierarchy of a model to a printer.

Show Untextured

Displays a list of objects and a count of their untextured faces.

Swap Texture Files

Used to replace a texture a model uses with a new texture.

Includes three operations especially useful for train simulator modelling.

Operations

Double-Side

Duplicates an object inside-out for the purpose of creating an interior.

Flare Extrude

Performs multiple extrusions along a curve, while optionally flaring.

Shift Center

Shifts an object so that its group position (pivot point) is centred on the average of the  currently selected faces/points/edges

Align

Aligns points so that all points follow a straight path from the first point to the last point selected.
